Sexual Harassment Awareness in Social Care Settings

This course equips care staff with the knowledge and confidence to recognise, prevent, and respond to sexual harassment in the workplace. Learners will understand the behaviours that constitute harassment, the legal framework protecting staff, and how to report and challenge inappropriate conduct while supporting a respectful workplace culture. 

Sexual Harrassment Awareness

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Define sexual harassment in line with the Equality Act 2010 and the Worker Protection Act 2023. 
  • Recognise verbal, non-verbal, physical, and digital forms of harassment. 
  • Spot the signs that someone may be experiencing harassment. 
  • Explain what third-party harassment is and the responsibilities of employers under UK law. 
  • Understand how to report and support colleagues in a safe and constructive way. 
  • Recognise what a good employer response looks like and how to challenge stigma or retaliation. 
  • Contribute to creating a respectful workplace culture.
