BVS Training Ltd (Company No. 038268699), trading as CareTutor (“CareTutor”, “we”, “us”, “our”), is a company registered in England and Wales.

This Privacy Policy applies to all products and services provided by BVS Training Ltd trading as CareTutor, including:
- The caretutor.org website and any subdomains.
- The bvs.co.uk website
- CareTutor Pathway.
- CareTutor Foundation.
- TeamTalk.
- Webinar and virtual learning services.
- Customer support services.
- Marketing and communication activities.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, BVS Training Ltd may act as:
- A Data Controller in relation to website visitors, marketing contacts, prospective customers, webinar attendees, customer account administrators and direct customers.
- A Data Processor where we provide learning, development and compliance platforms to organisations and process personal data on their behalf.

2. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

- Organisation name.

- Information submitted via forms, webinar registrations or email enquiries.
Learner Data (Where Applicable)
Where organisations use the CareTutor LMS, we may process learner names, work email addresses, course progress and certification records on behalf of that organisation. In these cases, the organisation is the Data Controller and CareTutor acts as Data Processor.
TeamTalk Data
Where organisations use TeamTalk, we may process information on behalf of that organisation, including:
- User names and contact details.
- Organisation and branch information.
- Session attendance records.
- Facilitator notes.
- Reflective learning records.
- Action plans and learning outcomes.
- Session feedback and evaluation responses.
- Platform usage and activity records.
In most circumstances, the subscribing organisation acts as the Data Controller in relation to information entered into TeamTalk and CareTutor acts as a Data Processor.
Organisations should avoid recording unnecessary personal, confidential or special category data within TeamTalk session records unless they have an appropriate lawful basis for doing so.
Technical Data
- IP address.
- Browser type.
- Device information.
- Website usage data collected through cookies or analytics tools.
Payment Information
We do not store full credit or debit card details. Payments are processed securely by authorised third-party providers.
3. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
We process personal data under the following lawful bases:

Data may be deleted earlier upon written request where appropriate.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

10. TEAMTALK SESSION RECORDS
TeamTalk enables organisations to facilitate reflective learning sessions and record attendance, discussion outcomes, action plans, facilitator notes and feedback.
The subscribing organisation is responsible for ensuring that any personal data entered into TeamTalk is lawful, accurate and appropriate for the intended purpose.
CareTutor does not routinely review or monitor the content of TeamTalk session records except where necessary to:
- Provide customer support.
- Investigate technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Protect the security and integrity of the service.
Where feedback is submitted through TeamTalk, CareTutor may review, analyse and use such feedback to:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of TeamTalk content and services.
- Improve the platform and learning materials.
- Identify usage trends and customer requirements.
- Develop new features, content and services.
CareTutor will only access session records to the extent reasonably necessary for these purposes and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
