Biography

Ana Aragon is an esteemed course consultant at CareTutor specializing in the course "Supporting People with Parkinson's." With a career spanning over three decades, Ana brings extensive expertise and a deep commitment to improving the lives of individuals living with Parkinson's.

Ana is a registered Occupational Therapist, recognized by the UK Health Professions Council as N.D. Aragon since 1989. She is an active member of prestigious organizations including The British Association and Royal College of Occupational Therapists, the Specialist Section for Neurological Practice, Parkinson's UK, and The International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society.

Ana's experience is grounded in her work with over 700 individuals living with Parkinson's and their families during her 11-year tenure in an NHS Parkinson's specialist service. Building on this wealth of experience, she subsequently took on the role of developing and leading an online Master of Science Degree Course focused on Parkinson's as an Associate Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, catering specifically to healthcare professionals. Currently, Ana pursues independent work, primarily in online teaching roles, delivering educational resources and facilitating virtual meetings through Phoenix-Aragon Education. Additionally, she actively collaborates on various health-related projects, such as National Best Practice Guidance for Occupational Therapists and the Parkinson's Foundation's Global Rehabilitation Task Force. To maintain a deep understanding of the needs of those with Parkinson's, Ana also volunteers at regular drop-in sessions hosted by a local branch of Parkinson's UK.
