Parkinson’ disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer’s. About 145,000 people in the UK has Parkinson’s. Worldwide there is between 7 million and 10 million people with the condition. This interactive video-based course explains what Parkinson’s disease is and how to provide support for people with the disease. By the end of this course, you should be able to:

  • Identify the known stages of Parkinson’s disease

Ana is a registered Occupational Therapist, recognised by the UK Health Professions Council as N.D. Aragon since 1989. She is an active member of prestigious organizations including The British Association and Royal College of Occupational Therapists, the Specialist Section for Neurological Practice, Parkinson’s UK, and The International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society. Ana’s experience is grounded in her work with over 700 individuals living with Parkinson’s and their families during her 11-year tenure in an NHS Parkinson’s specialist service.
