Every year Early Years Educators and children become ill or are injured because of unsafe working practices or environments. As you go about your daily work, be aware that hazards may be present and what you do, and things you may not do, can affect you and others. You therefore have a central role to play in promoting health and safety.  This course will explain your responsibilities and help to make you aware of hazards.

By the end of this course, you should understand:

  • Be able to identify the most relevant legislation relating to Health and Safety in Early Years settings.
  • Understand your role and responsibilities regarding Health and Safety in your workplace.
  • Be able to risk assess effectively within your setting.
