This course will highlight how food should be both nutritious and enjoyable, the importance of hydration and the dangers of malnutrition and dehydration. You will also learn how to prevent the spread of infection when preparing and handling food. This course will also show you how to assist people with special requirements, so that everyone can enjoy a healthy, nutritious, safe meal.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Recognise signs of poor nutrition and dehydration.
  • Understand the significance of promoting food enjoyment.
  • Recognise the benefits of care plans for individual care.
