Let’s come together to celebrate the heroes of care!
The Carers Week is set to take place from 10th to 16th June 2024. Carers Week is an annual awareness campaign to celebrate and recognise the vital contribution made by the UK’s 5.7 million carers. This week will focus on spreading awareness about the challenges carers face and ensuring right steps are taken to support their needs. According to a survey by Carers UK, a staggering 82% of carers said the impact of caring on their physical and mental health would be a challenge over the coming year, with nearly 60% adding that being valued as a carer would improve their wellbeing.
The theme for this year’s Carer’s Week is ‘Putting Carers on the Map‘ . This time Carers Week will celebrate the unpaid carers and make sure they are seen as well. This Week will focus on making caring more visible, ensuring that carers feel respected and that they can access the services and support that they need.
