The CareTutor team had an incredible time at the Care Management and Nursery Management Show at ExCeL, London, on November 29-30. With both shows taking place in one venue, it was the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our social care and childcare courses to a wide audience.
The event featured two full days of insightful content, CPD training, networking, and entertainment, with over 150 exhibitors and industry leaders. Both the Nursery Management Show and the Care Management Show offered valuable talks that provided essential updates on the latest developments in the social care and childcare sectors. CareTutor was proud to host two informative sessions at the show.
With the upcoming changes in Skills for Care guidance on statutory and mandatory training, we knew this event would be an ideal platform to spread the word. We hosted a session at the Knowledge Hub titled โDecoding Statutory and Mandatory Training and Managing with Effective eLearning.โ The session focused on clarifying the key elements of statutory and mandatory training and provided guidance on how providers can navigate the new Skills for Care guidance. The talk was led by Karam Treohan, Business Operations Manager at CareTutor.
Additionally, we partnered with Sue Asquith, an award-winning early childhood consultant and author, for a talk at the Nursery Management Show at the Operational Excellence Theatre. Sue was also the expert consultant for our childcare courses , so it was wonderful to build on that collaboration. Sueโs session, โKeeping Up with Change: New EYFS Safeguarding Reforms and What They Mean,โ explored the governmentโs response to the EYFS reforms consultation. She shared insights to help providers prepare for the changes that will take effect from 1st September 2025, including:
- Making references a mandatory part of safer recruitment
- Changes to PFA and safeguarding training
- New guidance on safer eating
- Toileting and privacy considerations
- Whistleblowing
This was our first time hosting speaking sessions, and we were thrilled by the enthusiastic response. The attendees were highly engaged, asking insightful questions and making the sessions interactive and rewarding.
Having a busy stand was equally exciting. We were able to showcase our new, fully customisable platform, Pathway, which received fantastic feedback. The new features weโve added include microlearning, gamification, auto enrolment to groups of courses , infographics, and a lot more! Our new features were exactly what care managers had been looking for, filling the gaps they had identified in their Learning Management Systems.
Throughout the event, we had the privil
ege of conversing with numerous industry leaders, learning about the latest findings, and gaining valuable insights into the evolving needs of the social care and childcare sectors. These discussions were instrumental in helping us understand the current trends and challenges in eLearning. We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our existing clients who stopped by our stand. It was wonderful to meet you face-to-face and hear your positive feedback on how our platform is supporting your teams.
The event was packed with engaging sessions and attracted a wide range of professionals from the care sector. The first day of the show ended on a high note with the National Care Awards, where we were honored to be finalists in the โTraining and Developmentโ category. This recognition speaks volumes about the impact of our engaging, interactive, video-based platform. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the incredible people making a difference in social care.
This show was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our year, and we are already looking forward to next yearโs event!
