Introducing Julie Campbell, a dedicated course consultant at CareTutor. With a passion for childcare and a wealth of experience in the field, Julie brings invaluable knowledge to her role. She has devoted her career to supporting children and their families, making a positive impact in various social care settings.

Julie’s journey in childcare began unexpectedly. Originally training as a hairdresser, her path shifted when she became a young mother. She discovered her natural talent for helping and advising others while attending a cake decorating course alongside teenage mothers. Motivated by a desire to make a difference, Julie pursued a Nursery Nursing course and embarked on a career in childcare.

Starting as a Nursery Practitioner in a children’s centre, Julie quickly rose through the ranks, showcasing her exceptional abilities. She then took on the role of creche co-ordinator, overseeing mobile community creches and managing a unit for children under two years old. With a deep commitment to supporting families in disadvantaged areas, Julie embraced her role and soon became the Childcare Services Manager, contributing to children’s learning and family support.

Inspired by an Inspector who audited their services, Julie joined the Care Commission as an Inspector. Her dedication and passion for the private sector led her to Thrive Childcare and Education (formerly Bertram Nursery Group) in 2007, where she assumed the position of Area Manager for all nurseries in Scotland. Julie’s exceptional leadership and dedication propelled her to the role of Director of Performance Management and eventually Operations Director.

With over 14 years of experience at Thrive, Julie values the dynamic nature of her work. As Operations Director, Julie enjoys the opportunity to collaborate with diverse individuals and teams, continually learning and problem-solving. She is driven by a desire to help nurseries reach their full potential and ensure a professional, consistent approach that meets the needs of families.

Julie’s extensive experience and unwavering dedication make her a valuable asset as a course consultant.
