The Nutrition and Hydration Week (11th โ 17th March 2024) is an annual event with a shared, global objective to โReinforce, Focus and Energiseโ engagement to promote nutrition and hydration as a fundamental element to maintaining health and wellbeing within health and social care. This week is run by three experts one of who is Derek Johnson, our consultant for the Fluids and Nutrition course. The purpose of the week is to bring people together to create energy, focus and fun in order to highlight and educate people on the value of food and hydration.
Approximately 3 million individuals in the United Kingdom, and countless more around the world, face the risk of malnutrition. To combat this, we need to work to raise awareness regarding these dangers, and advocate for methods that can help address malnutrition and dehydration.
