Home Care 2 - Role of the Home Carer

Designed exclusively for those providing care within the Home Care setting, this title introduces home carers to the types of tasks they might be expected to carry out and the range of individuals they may come into contact with; from young adults with learning difficulties through to older people. In addition, it considers the importance of working within professional boundaries and why it is necessary to understand and follow policies and procedures.

It goes on to look at the right individuals have to take risks in their lives and how the risk assessment can assist to protect them from harm. It also considers the meaning of equal opportunities and diversity.
